Why trust this pricing guide?

This guide is written by the Master Inbox team and reviewed by our founder, Abdul Mukati. Every Missive price and feature comes from Missive's own pages, read on 28 October 2026, and each source is listed at the bottom. Master Inbox is one of the options we compare, so we only state what is published, we show the arithmetic, and we mark anything the pages do not say. Missive is a strong team inbox for the work it was built for. If you are weighing it against other tools, our Missive alternative page and the Missive alternatives guide go further.

Missive pricing plans explained

Missive describes itself as a collaborative inbox where teams work on email, SMS and social conversations together. It runs as desktop, web and mobile apps. There are three paid plans, each priced per user per month.

The two price points come from two different pages. Missive's public pricing page shows yearly prices. Its billing and plans documentation page lists both yearly and monthly prices, plus plan limits, so the table below uses that page and was read on 28 October 2026. One detail to check: the Starter card on the pricing page lists API access, while the billing docs list Starter without integrations, rules, API or the AI Assistant. We follow the billing docs here, and you should confirm the current line on Missive's site before you buy.

PlanYearly billingMonthly billingUsersWhat stands out
Starter$14 per user per month$18 per user per monthUp to 5Email, SMS and social accounts, team inboxes, conversations and tasks
Productive$24 per user per month$30 per user per monthUp to 50Adds integrations, rules and automations, basic analytics, API and MCP access, AI Assistant
Business$36 per user per month$45 per user per monthUnlimitedAdds SAML SSO, IP restrictions, advanced analytics, personalized onboarding

Starter: $14 per user per month yearly, $18 monthly

The entry plan covers connected email, SMS and social accounts, team inboxes, conversations and tasks, for up to 5 users. Per the billing docs it does not include integrations, rules, the API or the AI Assistant.

Productive: $24 per user per month yearly, $30 monthly

Productive allows up to 50 users and is where most of the automation sits: integrations, rules and automations, basic analytics, API and MCP access, and the AI Assistant. Webhooks are created as a rule action, and the docs say they need an admin or owner on Productive or Business.

Business: $36 per user per month yearly, $45 monthly

Business removes the user cap and adds SAML SSO, IP restrictions, advanced analytics and personalized onboarding.

A 30-day trial, no permanent free plan

The billing docs state there is no free plan. A user's first organization gets 30 days of the Productive plan with no credit card required. Trial limits are 25 users, 10 shared accounts, 2 personal accounts per user and 30 days of history. After the trial ends, access pauses until the owner selects a plan.

Costs worth planning for

The headline price is per user, so the bill follows headcount. The arithmetic below uses the published Productive prices of $24 yearly and $30 monthly. It is an example, not a quote.

Users on ProductivePer month, yearly billingPer month, monthly billing
5$120$150
10$240$300
25$600$750
50$1,200$1,500

Other costs and rules on Missive's pages:

  • Connected accounts: each user includes 5 shared accounts and up to 10 personal accounts, per the pricing page. Additional shared accounts are sold in blocks of 5 at $15 a month, per the billing docs.
  • AI Credits: Missive AI Credits, launched in April 2026, are a separate optional purchase, and paid organizations get $5 of free credit. You can also bring your own key. We did not find per-credit prices on the pages we read.
  • Discounts: the billing docs say no discounts are offered.
  • Yearly versus monthly: choosing yearly billing lowers the per-user price by 20%.

What is new in Missive in 2026

Missive's changelog shows steady work on AI and automation this year. MCP support launched on 12 March 2026, Missive AI Credits arrived on 23 April, and the MCP server left beta on 28 August. On 24 September the MCP server became available on trial or Productive plans and above. On 23 October, rules gained timed steps such as escalate, remind or close after a set delay. For budgeting, the changes that matter are the AI Assistant, which sits in Productive and Business, and the AI Credits line above.

How Master Inbox pricing works

Master Inbox is the reply inbox for cold outbound: every email and LinkedIn reply from Smartlead, Instantly, EmailBison, HeyReach and more in one AI-labeled inbox. It is not priced per seat. Plans scale with connected mailboxes and client workspaces, and every plan includes unlimited users, so adding a rep or a client manager does not change the bill. Full details are on the pricing page.

Master Inbox planPriceBuilt for
Reply AgentFrom $499 per monthReply agents that answer, follow up and book meetings
Agency$599 per monthAgencies, with up to 3,000 mailboxes and 15 client workspaces
Team$799 per monthSales teams, with up to 2,000 mailboxes
Scale$1,297 per monthLarger agencies, with up to 40 clients and 15,000 mailboxes

Every plan starts with a free 7-day POC, and onboarding is done with you. Agencies running many clients can see how client workspaces work, and the API and webhooks are included on every plan.

How to choose between per-user and mailbox-based pricing

The two models answer different questions. Per-user pricing fits a team where each person works conversations all day and headcount is stable. Mailbox-based pricing fits outbound, where volume comes from the number of sending mailboxes and clients, while the number of people who touch a reply keeps changing: SDRs, account executives, client managers and the founder.

  • If the question is "who needs a login to answer our customers", budget by headcount and look at Missive's user caps (5 on Starter, 50 on Productive).
  • If the question is "how many mailboxes and clients do our campaigns reply into", budget by mailboxes and workspaces, and let every teammate in.
  • If both are true, run both. They connect to different parts of the stack. See our guide to the unified inbox and the shared inbox for how the two ideas differ.

Who Missive suits

Missive suits teams that share customer-facing mailboxes and conversations: support, sales and operations teams that want assignments, internal comments, shared drafts, tasks and an audit trail in one place. It brings email, SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and live website chat into one inbox, offers a REST API and a Zapier integration, and connects to CRMs such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Close. Its integrations page lists 36 integration listings across 9 categories.

Who Master Inbox suits

Master Inbox suits outbound sales teams and lead generation agencies that send from many mailboxes and LinkedIn accounts and need every reply in one queue. It threads forwards, CC replies and new-address replies that sequencers miss, labels intent with AI labeling, routes hot replies to Slack and syncs to HubSpot and other CRMs through workflows. It also brings LinkedIn replies into the same thread through the LinkedIn inbox. Teams that already use Missive for their company inbox can keep it there and use Master Inbox for outbound replies; the two do different jobs. Frequently asked questions

How much does Missive cost per month?

As of 28 October 2026, Missive's billing docs list Starter at $14, Productive at $24 and Business at $36 per user per month on yearly billing. Monthly billing is $18, $30 and $45. Multiply by the number of users, then add any extra shared accounts or AI Credits.

Does Missive have a free plan?

No. The billing docs state there is no free plan. A new organization gets a 30-day trial of the Productive plan with no credit card, and access pauses after the trial until the owner picks a plan.

Is Missive priced per seat?

Yes. Every Missive plan is priced per user per month. Master Inbox takes a different approach: plans are based on mailboxes and client workspaces, with unlimited users on every plan.

Does Missive connect to Slack or LinkedIn?

Missive's integrations directory does not list Slack or LinkedIn as of 28 October 2026. Master Inbox connects LinkedIn tools such as HeyReach, Expandi and Aimfox, shows those conversations next to email in one thread per prospect, and sends label-triggered Slack cards.

Which Missive plan includes the AI Assistant?

The billing docs place the AI Assistant, integrations, rules and API access in Productive and Business. Missive AI Credits are a separate optional purchase.

Can Master Inbox replace Missive?

For working the replies cold outbound produces, yes: it is built for that. For a general team inbox with SMS, WhatsApp and website chat, keep Missive. Many teams can run both.
