Shared Inbox

A shared inbox is an email inbox accessible to multiple team members at once, letting several people view, assign, and respond to the same stream of messages, commonly used for addresses like support@ or sales@. It is a general-purpose collaboration tool, not built specifically for outbound reply volume across many sending domains.

Why it matters for outbound teams

Shared inboxes work well for a single, low-volume address where a small team needs shared visibility, such as a general sales inquiry line. They tend to struggle at the scale and structure that cold outbound produces, where replies arrive across dozens of rotating sending domains rather than one address. This is the key distinction between a general shared inbox and a purpose-built master inbox or unibox for outbound.
