LinkedIn Outreach

LinkedIn outreach is prospecting conducted through LinkedIn's messaging features, including connection requests, InMail, and direct messages to existing connections, used as a standalone channel or alongside cold email in a multichannel sequence. It relies on LinkedIn's own send limits and platform rules rather than email deliverability infrastructure.

Why it matters for outbound teams

LinkedIn outreach gives sellers visibility into a prospect's role, activity, and mutual connections that email alone does not provide, which supports more relevant, personalized messaging. It is subject to LinkedIn's own connection and messaging limits, so it cannot be scaled the same way cold email can with domain rotation. Many teams use it as a supporting channel to warm up a prospect before or after an email touch, rather than as the sole channel.
