RevOps (Revenue Operations)

RevOps, or revenue operations, is the function responsible for aligning the systems, data, and processes across sales, marketing, and customer success so that revenue-generating teams operate on consistent tools and reporting. It typically owns CRM administration, tool stack decisions, and cross-functional reporting on the funnel.

Why it matters for outbound teams

RevOps is usually the team that decides which sequencer, CRM, and reply management tools an outbound team uses, and how those tools connect to each other through integrations like CRM sync. They care most about data consistency, wanting metrics like reply rate and meeting booked rate to mean the same thing across every rep and every tool. A messy reply management setup, with inconsistent labeling or no CRM sync, creates exactly the kind of reporting gaps RevOps is tasked with closing.
